Priscilla, Cilla to family and friends, has always been an
imaginative person. From quite a young age she would go out on cycle rides
around the Vale of Glamorgan letting her imagination run loose thinking
up plots for all sorts of stories. Years later many were and are being
published.
Priscilla, born in Halifax, Yorkshire on April 21st 1952 was brought up in Bridgend in South Wales. Cilla is one of seven children from a most remarkable family. Her father, an eminent Orthopedic Surgeon and her mother a Grammar and Secondary School teacher, adopted all seven children of which Cilla was the third. Her two elder brothers and herself are British but the younger four are of mixed nationalities. The next sister down from Priscilla is half British, a quarter French and a quarter Indian, then came a brother whose natural mother was from the Seychelles, then another boy half Pakistani and the youngest sister is half Chinese. Quite a United Nations!
Priscilla, as do most of her brothers and sisters, plays two musical instruments, the piano and harp. At the age of 16 she left home and moved to Birmingham to train as a nurse at the Queen Elizabeth II hospital. It was here in Birmingham where she met her husband who was at medical school and is now a GP in Staffordshire and Cilla, apart from being a writer is a Practice Nurse in Shropshire. She has two sons, one a doctor and the other a Marine Biologist.
Cilla, has many hobbies and interests which she shares with family and friends. She is quite an expert on antiques and ornithology and enjoys long country walks and visiting places of cultural and architectural interest.
Her social life is quite busy, often organizing "murders" in her home or at friends' places. She travels the country giving talks about crime writing and has also organized "murders" in several major bookshops whilst promoting her books.
